I am a native of Fayetteville, NC and obtained my BS in Plant Biology from NCSU in 2012. As an undergraduate I worked in Dr. Carbone's lab since Spring of 2011 and recieved two Undergraduate Research Awards. Previously I participated in REU programs at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Cornell in Summers of 2010 and 2011, respectively. In the summer of 2012, I was a Global Plant Health Intern at NCSU and had the opportunity to visit Costa Rica to study the population biology of black sigatoka on banana and plantain. I am currently working on my M.Sc. in Dr. Ojiambo's lab focusing on Aspergillus flavus biocontrol.
